3/31付でEMAから「EMA consults on virtual control groups to help reduce animal use in medicines development」と題するNews Releaseが、「Draft Qualification opinion for Virtual Control Groups (VCG) to replace Concurrent Control Groups (CCG) in rat non-GLP Dose-Range Finding (DRF) studies」と題するドラフトとともに発出されています。
ドラフトは「ラットを用いた非GLP用量範囲探索（DRF）試験において、同時対照群（CCG）に代わる仮想対照群（VCG）に関する適格性評価案」で、医薬品開発における動物実験の削減を目的とした仮想対照群に関する協議を開始したというものです。
